REFERENCE

A reference is an object that references objects previously saved to project or Library. Referenced objects act like a single object in a map. Referencescan be rotated, moved or scaled. You can place referencesin saved objects and that allows you to embed one reference in another.

A reference can be instantiated. If a reference is instantiated than all references objects are copied to a map and the source referenceis deleted.

In order to create a referencefirst you have to save objects that you want to place in a map with a reference. To do this select objects that you want to save and click a right mouse button on a project or library in a Project Browserin the left section of the Flow Architect Studio 3D. Than choose a Save Objects to Projector Save Objects to Libraryoption. Now you can use option Add Saved objectsfrom the Other Objectsmenu to create a reference.

In order to edit previously saved objects go to Other Objects menu and choose Add Saved objects option. Next choose objects that you want to edit and press Editbutton from the dialog.

Referencesare useful when you want to have many instances of the same objects (like a door) and you want to edit objects once and make changes to all instances. They can also be used to reuse design elements between different maps or projects. You can make libraries of references and very quickly build new maps from previously prepared objects sets.
