HOW TO APPLY A MATERIAL TO AN OBJECT

The Materials panel that is located on the right side of program is used for applying textures or materials to objects. This panel contains the list of all currently used textures and materials. Textures or materials on that list can be selected. The currently selected texture or material is the one that is currently used. In order to add a texture or a material to that list, use the Add material or Add texture options, which you can find in the Materials panel.

The add material option

This option allows you to search libraries and the project for materials. The chosen materials can be added to the material panel.

The add texture option

This option allows you to search libraries and the project for textures. A corresponding normal map or a bump map, a specular map and an emission map will be used for the chosen texture. Those textures will create the default material for the chosen texture. If one of the textures is not found it will be generated automatically from the color map.

Applying a texture or a material to a Block

Double click with the left mouse button on a texture or a material in the material panel to apply the material to all sides of all selected Blocks.

Applying a texture or a material to a Surface

Double click with the left mouse button on a texture or a material in the material panel to apply the material to all selected Surfaces.

Applying a texture or a material to a Model

Double click with the left mouse button on a texture or a material in the material panel to apply the material to all meshes of all selected models.

Double click with the right mouse button on a texture or a material in the material panel to apply the material to a selected mesh of a selected model.
